The Ball State Cardinals finished the 2023 campaign with a final record of 4-8. The Cards were 3-5 in the MAC in head coach Mike Neu’s 8th season as head coach. Neu’s overall record at Ball State is 37-56, with his best season coming in 2020 with a 7-1 record.
The Cards have only played in two bowl games under Neu, their lone bowl win coming in the 2020 Arizona Bowl over San Jose State. Neu is a former Ball State quarterback and GA’d for the Cards in 1994 before playing in the CFL and AFL.
