The Miami Hurricanes’ 2021 recruiting class is South Florida-heavy, and that’s very much the case with the offensive line signees.
UM signed a trio of big blockers from South Florida high schools in guard Laurence Seymore from Miami Central, tackle Michael McLaughlin from Stoneman Douglas and center Ryan Rodriguez from Miami Columbus on Wednesday, the first day of college football’s Early Signing Period.
“I think that’s one of the bigger things that they got away from in the past — not keeping a lot of kids who want to play for the city, that have a lot of pride for the city,” Rodriguez said.
