Comment: The Mario Cristobal Era begins with a ton of energy and attention. Manny Diaz, who was fired after going 21-15 in three seasons at Miami, brought energy. Cristobal, who was 35-13 at Oregon with two Pac-12 titles and a Rose Bowl victory, brings a defined program and winning method. But this won’t be a miracle turnaround with a schedule that includes road games at Texas A&M and Clemson. Can all the transfer-portal players be hits? Will a thin receiving corps grow up? These are the types of issues that will define this first season under the rebuild.
