The Miami Hurricanes entered National Signing Day expecting they would finish with one of the nation’s top recruiting classes.
Despite missing on a couple of coveted defensive targeted prospects on Wednesday, Hurricanes coach Mark Richt and his staff felt confident they had addressed several needs, particularly on offense.
During December’s Early Signing Period, Miami signed the nation’s top-ranked tight end in Brevin Jordan, the No. 2 running back in the nation in Lorenzo Lingard and the No. 2 fullback in the nation in Realus George. On Wednesday, the Hurricanes added the nation’s second-ranked defensive tackle to their roster when American Heritage-Plantation standout Nesta Silvera announced he was honoring his longtime commitment and signing with Miami.
