The turnover chain has returned some needed swagger and bling to the Miami football program. It has been widely criticized by fanbases of the Hurricanes rivals, yet those same rivals and dozens of other football programs throughout the nation have imitated but not duplicated the turnover chain.
Florida State was the most egregious of the knockoffs to the turnover chain. The Seminoles thankfully retired their Dora backpack that made its debut in 2018 but was canceled like a poorly received television series after last season. North Carolina has a turnover belt and Akron debuted a giant turnover pencil this weekend.
