All week long, the Hurricanes have emphasized the importance of Saturday’s scrimmage, their final such workout of camp before the team moves into game-week preparations.
Miami coach Al Golden and his assistants have said very few starting jobs have been secured and during a radio interview on Friday, offensive coordinator James Coley reiterated that point, telling WQAM-560’s Joe Rose that he’ll be watching several positions closely. Among the spots Coley highlighted in particular was Miami’s offensive line – which is looking to rebuild after losing three starters – and running back, where four players have gotten time with both the Hurricanes’ first and second units.
