An early look at where the Canes' 2017 recruiting class stands, and where it might go in the future.
The 2017 recruiting cycle is well under way, so I'm going to start the Class Breakdown series earlier this year than I have in the past. I'll probably keep this to once a month or so through the season, but this is a good way to keep track of the class, who Miami is looking at, and how things are trending.
Let's start by talking numbers. Here's what I think the Canes are looking to take at each position this year:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | Offensive Line | |
1+ | 2+ | 4+ | 0 | 4+ | |
Defensive End | Defensive Tackle | Linebacker | Cornerback | Safety | Best Available |
2 | 3 | 2 | 3 | 2 | (any extra spots not filled) I'll get into the methodology more as we look at each position, but that's where we'll start. |
