The Hurricanes won’t play a football game again until September. Spring practice is still a couple of months away. And though it looms ever closer, there are still a few weeks until National Signing Day.
But in a way, a new season began Monday for the Hurricanes as they returned to campus for a new semester, began classes and welcomed five early enrollees – players they hope will be able to make a difference for them sooner rather than later.
Among the early enrollees? A quarterback, a legacy and three linebackers – a position where Miami needed some depth this year after injuries to Raphael Kirby and Darrion Owens.
