The best news from University of Miami football coach Mark Richt after the first spring scrimmage at Greentree Field on Saturday was that nobody was injured. But if you’re focused on the quarterback play, judging by Richt’s reading of what he called “unofficial official stats” after the scrimmage, it wasn’t a particularly uplifting day.
Malik Rosier and N’Kosi Perry were the main guys who intermingled with the first and second teams. They were not allowed to be tackled.
It was a controlled scrimmage, with the first team offense going against the first team defense, and the second teams facing each other.
