Poise, experience key as Hurricanes hang on for win over Buffalo

Miami Hurricanes guard Angel Rodriguez poured in six free throws in the final 1:15 to close out a 24-point performance and push No. 3 seed UM past Buffalo 79-72 in an NCAA Tournament South Regional first-round game in Providence, R.I., on Thursday night.

Four other Hurricanes scored in double-digits, and Miami will play the winner of late Thursday night's Arizona-Wichita State game in a Saturday matchup.

Nick Perkins led the Bulls with 20 points, and Hurricane Sheldon McClellan matched that figure.

Miami led 35-33 at halftime.
