Miami dropped to 15-7 (3-4 ACC) on the year after their fourth consecutive loss came against the N.C. State Wolfpack. The Hurricanes played a pretty solid game tonight, but one bad inning from Evan McKendry put the Wolfpack in control of the game.
Through the first four innings the game was a pitcher’s duel. N.C. State starter Jason Parker and McKendry both matched each other pitch for pitch and worked out of jams. However, N.C. State put together a two-out rally in the top of the fifth to blow the game open. Two consecutive two-out doubles gave the Wolfpack their first run of the evening, an RBI single then made the game 2-0.
