The Miami Hurricanes dropped to 15-4, (3-3 ACC) after a Sunday afternoon loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels. The ‘Canes couldn’t capitalize off of a Friday night victory in this series, and struggled on both Saturday and Sunday.
Miami got off to a quick start, with both Jordan Lala and Freddy Zamora reaching before Adrian Del Castillo came to the plate. Del Castillo knocked a three run home-run to deep right field to give the Hurricanes an early lead.
The lead was short lived. UNC saw the ball really well out of Brian Van Belle’s hand and put up four runs in the bottom of the first.
