The 2020 NFL Draft could mark the third year in a row that no Miami Hurricanes football alums are selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. The Hurricanes last had a stretch that long when they went six years, between 2009-14, without a first-round pick.
Tight end David Njoku who went 29th to the Cleveland Browns in 2017 was the last Miami Hurricanes player selected in the first round. Njoku was the last of three straight NFL Drafts for a Miami player to be selected in the first round. Wide receiver Philip Dorsett and cornerback Artie Burns were selected in 2015 and ’16.
