While it wasn’t a dominating performance by any means, the No. 13 ranked Miami Hurricanes managed to pull out a 31-19 win against the Pittsburgh Panthers Saturday afternoon.
Under the blaring sun in front of 9,000 fans at Hard Rock Stadium, the Hurricanes (4-1, 3-1) narrowly out-performed Pitt (3-3, 2-3) on offense. As a team, Miami had 331 yards of offense to Pitt’s 300 yards. The difference was Pitt was forced to kick field goals in four of their trips into the red zone.
Miami quarterback D’Eriq King threw four touchdown passes and completed 16 of 31 passes for 222 yards.
