Njoku among former 'Canes to put up big numbers at NFL Combine

Everyone from scouts, to former teammates, to fans expected David Njoku to excel at the NFL Combine.

And the former Hurricanes tight end did exactly that, posting some of the most impressive numbers among players at his position, finishing as one of the top performers in three of the on-field workout drills: the vertical jump, the broad jump, and the 3-cone drill.

Njoku, who along with quarterback Brad Kaaya was one of two Miami underclassmen in Indianapolis, finished second among tight ends at the combine with his 133-inch broad jump. The former national champion high jumper was third among tight ends with his 37.
