Less than a full week into his tenure at Miami, new school president Dr. Julio Frenk made it a point to stop at the Greentree Practice Field and meet with the Hurricanes football team.
Frenk, a former Harvard dean who served as the Minister of Health of Mexico from 2000-2006, was named Miami’s new president in April and said then he understood the importance of Miami’s football tradition. He met with coaches then, and on Wednesday, met with Miami’s players.
Frenk spoke to the team briefly, posed for pictures with players and coaches, and was presented a game jersey and a signed football from the Hurricanes during his brief visit with the team.
