Another transfer may be joining the University of Miami basketball team, and this one has a famous uncle.
Alabama sophomore Braxton Key, the nephew of former NBA great Ralph Sampson, announced two weeks ago he is leaving the Crimson Tide program. He is scheduled to visit UM on Thursday and Friday, a source confirmed. On Wednesday, he visited the University of Virginia, where his uncle was a star and played for UM coach Jim Larranaga, who was a Cavaliers assistant at the time.
Key, 6-8, started 17 games last season after missing the first 10 with a knee injury.
