Not long after delivering the news that starting quarterback D’Eriq King would miss the remainder of the season due an upcoming shoulder surgery, Miami Hurricanes coach Manny Diaz revealed two more UM players will miss a significant amount of time.
Longtime starting center Corey Gaynor, a fifth-year redshirt junior, recently had knee surgery and won’t be available for the rest of the year.
Gaynor, a Stoneman Douglas High alum, had started in 27 consecutive games at center for UM from the start of his redshirt sophomore season in 2019 through the first three games of this season, but missed Miami’s home games against Central Connecticut State on Sept.
