Jeff Thomas has had an enigmatic career with the Miami Hurricanes. He showed flashes of greatness as a freshman in 2017 but was unable to maintain consistency. Thomas more than doubled his reception output from his freshman to sophomore year. He led Miami with 35 receptions and 563 receiving yards in 2018.
It appeared that Thomas’ Miami football career was over when he didn’t play in the two games of the 2018 season due to a disagreement with Mark Richt. When Richt announced his retirement in late December it provided Thomas a second chance with the Hurricanes.
