The Palm Beach Post Miami Hurricanes beat writer Matt Porter gave two potential candidates in his article about Kuligowski’s departure. Porter tabbed former Miami defensive lineman Kevin Patrick and former Florida Atlantic Head Coach Charlie Partridge as potential successors.
He was the 1993 Big East Defensive Player of the Year and a First-team All-American. Patrick recorded 10 sacks and 11 tackles for loss that season. He is fifth all-time in sacks in Miami Hurricanes history with 23. Patrick was a 2015 Inductee into the Miami Athletic Hall of Fame.
Patrick coached one of the country’s best defensive lineman at North Carolina State during the past two seasons.
