Miami Hurricanes all-time leading scorer Michael Badgley missed two field goals, Wisconsin repeatedly converting on third down, and several missed calls by the referees hindered Miami’s chances in the Orange Bowl on Saturday. The Hurricanes had several chances to grab control of the game and missed them.
The first missed opportunity came on the first drive for the Hurricanes. Miami’s first possession came following a fumble by Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor.
Facing a fourth and eight on the Badgers 36, coach Mark Richt decided to try for three points. Attempting a 53-yard field goal, kicker Michael Badgley missed it completely, coming up short.
