Despite the 14 point differential, Miami’s win over Florida Atlantic University was much closer than the scoreboard read.
The Owls led at two different points in the first half and pulled within three points in the second half.
“We are not a strong defensive team yet,” head coach Jim Larrañaga said. “I thought tonight we did some things better defensively than we did on Tuesday night. Florida Atlantic came in with a very aggressive mindset and really attacked us.”
