Miami Hurricanes wide receivers Jeff Thomas and Brian Hightower have each had “minor arthroscopic surgery on their right knee(s.)” it was announced by the athletic department on Tuesday. Thomas led Miami in receptions and receiving yards as a sophomore in 2018. Hightower is a rising junior.
No timetable has been issued on how long they will be sidelined. Christy Chirinos of the Sun Sentinel did some research and stated that the timetables vary depending on the severity of the injury for each player. The average according to Chirinos’ inquiry was that most players can return within six weeks.
