Cager will finish his three-year Miami Hurricanes career with 45 receptions for 681 yards, a 15.1 yards per reception average and 10 touchdowns. He was third this season in receptions and second in yards for UM.
Cager finishes tied for 25th in touchdown receptions on Miami history with among others tight ends Jeremy Shockey and Randy Bethel. Bethel is the father of current Miami defensive tackle, Randy Bethel.
Cager started 12 of Miami’s 13 games this season. He was in line to start next season as a Redshirt Senior. The Hurricanes lost their leader in receptions and yards Jeff Thomas with one game left in the regular season.
