The Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball team got their biggest win of the season with a 72-65 victory over Notre Dame at the Watsco Center on Thursday night. The win came 24 hours after the men’s basketball team also defeated Notre Dame.
The Hurricane women won the game behind a stout defense. Notre Dame traveled to South Florida third in the nation averaging over 87 points per game. Arike Ogunbowale entered the game 11th in the nation in scoring at 21 PPG. Miami held her to 13 points on four of 13 from the floor.
