The Hurricanes took two of three from Georgia Tech at Mark Light Field earlier this season. Third-seeded Wake Forest heads up the three-team pool. Miami lost two of three to the Demon Deacons at the Light three weeks before hosting Georgia Tech.
Miami will have Wednesday off before facing Wake at 3 pm on Thursday. That should give staff ace Jeb Bargfeldt enough rest to pitch against the Demon Deacons. Evan McKendry who has been the weeknight starter lately is likely to pitch game one.
The Hurricanes outscored Georgia Tech 32-22 in the three-game series in March.
