Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Charleston Rambo had the breakout game expected of him when he transferred from Oklahoma during the offseason. Rambo tied the Miami program record with 12 receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Willie Smith had 12 receptions in 1984 and Philip Dorsett 12 in 2012.
Mike Harley was second on the Hurricanes with four receptions for 51 yards on Saturday. Several of Rambo’s yards came after the catch. Rambo tied the Miami single-game reception record in the third quarter but did not have a catch in the fourth.
