Jaquan Johnson was the Miami Hurricanes leading tackler in each of the last two seasons. In 2017 Johnson was Miami’s Most Valuable Player and in 2018 he was the MVP of the defense. Johnson’s lack of size and underwhelming combine numbers could drop his stock in next month’s NFL Draft.
Johnson was measured at the NFL Combine at 5’10, 191 pounds, with eight 3/4 inch hands and 29 5/8 arms. He is undersized for an average NFL safety. Johnson’s size is more suited for cornerback, but he doesn’t have the speed to play outside.
