The Miami Hurricanes decided to relieve Al Golden from his head coaching duties and while that gives a lot of people excitement, there’s another side to this: the recruiting side.
There are a lot of recruits that genuinely liked Golden and committed to Miami because of him so getting decommitments is totally part of this process. Losing a guy like Ahmonn Richards definitely stings, but the Hurricanes will still be involved in his recruitment once the new coach is hired.
Richards took to twitter to announce his decommitment from Miami, and it’s totally understandable:
