Miami Hurricanes RB Robert Burns ready to contribute

Robert Burns was a three-star signee out of Gulliver Prep primarily because he dealt with injuries throughout his high school career. Burns has been impressive through the first week-plus of training camp for the Miami Hurricanes in 2019.

With sophomore Lorenzo Lingard returning from an injury, Burns will get a chance to play early in 2019. Buried as the fifth-string running back before Lingard’s injury and fourth afterward, Burns was limited to two carries for 10 yards in 2018. More is expected from the 5’11, 215-pound RB this fall.

Burns will have to battle for his carries behind junior DeeJay Dallas who is expected to start and sophomore Cam’Ron Davis who will be behind him.
