Miami Hurricanes News: CFB 2023 rule changes, 2nd year Power 5 coaches

The Football Foundation highlighted “Important Rule Changes for the 2023 College Football Season.” In their weekly column Rivals published “Tuesdays with Gorney: Looking at the second-year coaches in the Power Five.” David Lake of Inside the U compared the 2024 Miami Hurricanes recruiting class to recent top 10 classes.

The rule changes for 2023 are Stopping and Starting the Clock – First Downs, Consecutive Charged Team Timeouts, Extension of Periods, Drone Policy, Halftime Intermission and Instant Replay without an Instant Replay Booth Official. The rule changes were made to improve pace, reduce plays and improve clock consistency.
