Hurricane Matthew misses South Florida
We in South Florida braced for a major Category 4/potentially Category 5 Hurricane to hit on Thursday. But, at the last minute, Hurricane Matthew’s path jogged slightly to the East, greatly reducing the impact the storm had in South Florida.
There were about 155,000 people who lost power across Broward and Miami-Dade counties, but that number is very low. For those who haven’t been in a Hurricane before, this was basically just think of a heavy rainstorm. It was like that for the entire day on Thursday.
