Miami Hurricanes News and Notes — Brad Kaaya is a Cincinnati Bengal, the Hurricanes await decision on Martell’s eligibility, and the Hurricanes new “striker”

Brad Kaaya has bounced around the NFL since leaving Miami early after his junior year. Originally a sixth round draft pick by the Detroit Lions, he was then cut before the 53-man roster was established and picked up by the Carolina Panthers. After being waived by the Panthers, he ended up back in Detroit, where he was again waived.

The Indianapolis Colts picked him up, cut him after being injured, and then picked him up again before placing him on the injured reserve for the remainder of the 2018 season.

This past Friday, the Colts waived Miami’s all-time leading passer and he was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he will serve as the fourth quarterback behind Andy Dalton, Jeff Driskel, and Tom Savage.
