Before that happens his position coach Jon Richt said they need Perry to be more of a passer than an athlete. Perry was a four-star recruit in the Miami Hurricanes class of 2017.
He was redshirted last season as a Freshman. That allowed Perry to put on some weight and gain a better grasp of the offense. Through the first few weeks of spring practice starter, Malik Rosier has continued his to show why he led Miami to a 10-3 record and ACC Coastal Division championship last fall.
Rosier still has room to improve. The coaching staff needs him to show work on his accuracy and leadership skills.
