On Tuesday night, the College Football Playoff (CFP) committee released the third installment of its rankings for the 2024 season. After setting the foundation for the seedings and revealing some of the underlying logic last week with the first release, this week’s rankings continued along that path as we move through the month of November.
Coming off a bye week, Miami was the beneficiary of previously unbeaten BYU losing at home to Kansas. That loss helped Miami move up a spot in both the rankings and seedings projection at this point of the season.
Miami moves up to 8th ranked team in CFP rankings for week 3.
