Hall was expected to challenge for playing time this fall. He still could if he comes back healthy. Hall is slated to be behind returning starters Jaquan Johnson and Sheldrick Redwine. Johnson was the team’s MVP last season.
Hall will be competing with Amari Carter, Derrick Smith and Romeo Finley for playing time at safety this season. Earlier in the week, Richt said that Smith and Finley could be part of the nickel package as a third linebacker.
Hall will remain a part of the team while his teammates continue to go through spring practice for the next few weeks.
