Lewis, a native of Bartow, Florida, enrolled at the University of Miami in 1993. Lewis was a standout for the Miami Hurricanes during his three years. He was an All-American during his sophomore and junior seasons in 1994 and 95. His junior season, he ended with 160 tackles, the second most in school history.
Drafted by the newly formed Baltimore Ravens, Lewis became one of the greatest linebackers of all time. Lewis was selected to 13 Pro-Bowls, twice voted NFL Defensive Player Of The Year and MVP of Super Bowl XXXV. Lewis ended his career after the Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl in 2013.
