DeAndre Wilder missed the entire 2018 season because of a neck injury he suffered. Wilder recorded 10 tackles as a true freshman in 2017. Wilder’s departure leaves the Miami Hurricanes with seven healthy linebackers on the roster.
Backup linebackers Waynmon Steed and Bradley Jennings Jr. are questionable for the start of 2019 with injuries. The Miami Hurricanes have one of the best linebacking corps in the country but are extremely thin.
