The Miami Hurricanes added offensive line help to their 2021 recruiting class on Monday night as Miami Columbus’ Ryan Rodriguez announced a commitment to UM.
“I am proud to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at the University of Miami,” Rodriguez wrote in a Twitter post Monday night.
Both Rivals and 247 Sports rate the 6-foot-3, 280-pound Rodriguez a three-star prospect. 247 projects him as the nation’s No. 5-ranked center in the 2021 class, while Rivals lists him as a guard prospect.
Playing tackle for Columbus, Rodriguez assisted the Explorers to their first Class 8A state championship in the fall, helping pave the way for running back Henry Parrish to accumulate 2,319 rushing yards.
