The Miami Hurricanes saw one of their own selected in the first round of the NBA Draft on Wednesday night at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. Kyshawn George heard his name called by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver at the 24th overall pick and is heading to the Washington Wizards after a trade with the New York Knicks. George was the first Miami Hurricanes player to hear his name called in the first round of the NBA Draft since Lonnie Walker was taken by the San Antonio Spurs back in 2018.
