Two football players — Cleveland Gary and D.J. Williams — are among the inductees, along with Jeff Alkire (baseball), T’erea Brown (track), Lane Carico (volleyball), Conny Falk (tennis), Tim Harris (track), Shenise Johnson (basketball), Jack McClinton (basketball) and Brittany Viola (diving).
The date and location of the 53rd induction banquet in the spring will be announced at a later time. The inductees will be introduced in an on-field ceremony at the end of the first quarter of the Miami-Georgia Tech game on Nov. 6 at Hard Rock Stadium.
“We are honored to induct this outstanding class of athletes into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame,” hall president Mead McCabe said in a statement.
