Rice’s Marcus Evans announced the Hurricanes as one of the final three schools he is considered continuing his career at.
Evans has been a high volume scorer in his two seasons with the Owls. Evans averaged 20.2 Points Per Game, 3.6 Rebounds, and 3.3 Assists for Rice. He shot 42.5 percent from the floor and 37.6 percent on his three-point attempts.
Rice coach Mike Rhoads left after three seasons to take Virginia Commonwealth’s Head Coaching position. Evans is considering following his coach to Richmond or heading to Tucson to play for Sean Miller and Arizona, in addition to the Hurricanes.
