The Miami Hurricanes learned their bowl destination on Sunday and also confirmed they will be without standout defensive end Jaelan Phillips, who has declared for the NFL draft, for the postseason exhibition.
No. 18 Miami is bound for Orlando and will face No. 21 Oklahoma State in the Cheez-It Bowl for a 5:30 p.m. kickoff on Dec. 29 at Camping World Stadium.
“We’re delighted to have the invite to the Cheese-It Bowl,” Miami coach Manny Diaz said. “As everyone knows, it has been a challenging season for everybody in college football, but to get our guys the reward of, in my mind, going to one of the best bowl destinations anywhere in the country.
