The Miami Hurricanes are expected to play in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl against Washington State, according to several bowl projections.
Sports Illustrated, 247 Sports and ESPN’s Mark Schlabach projected the Hurricanes to play in the Sun Bowl, while ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura predicted Miami will play in the Mayo Bowl.
The Hurricanes, who are 21–15 and 16-9 in the ACC over the past three years with Diaz at the helm, finished the regular season with a disappointing 7-5 record (5-3 in ACC) after having hopes of competing for the Coastal Division and playing in the conference championship game.
