Earlier today, we found out that Miami Hurricanes safety Jamal Carter was sent home due to an undisclosed violation of team rules. Later on Tuesday we found out that yet another Hurricanes defensive player has been sent home. This time it’s defensive tackle Courtel Jenkins.
Jenkins was sent home because he was ruled academically ineligible to play in the Sun Bowl. Jenkins is one of the better interior presences on this team so this is yet another big loss to the Miami defense that needs to have a really good performance in order to try and slow down a powerful Washington State offensive attack.
