The Seminoles defeated the Hurricanes 20-19 last season when they blocked a Miami Extra point after the Hurricanes scored what had appeared to be the game-tying touchdown with 1:38 remaining in the game.
The announcement was made earlier today as part of as part of a press release that six early season games involving ACC teams will be televised by ESPN. The final four of those games will be in prime time on either ABC or ESPN.
The Seminoles will play what some are already calling the game of the century opening weekend. They will face perennial national number one Alabama at Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz Stadium September 2.
