Miami Hurricanes end season ranked 20th by Associated Press

Following Clemson’s win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff Championship game, the Associated Press released their final top 25 rankings of the 2016 season. And, in these rankings, the Miami Hurricanes checked in at #20 in the country.

After dismantling West Virginia 31-14 in the Russell Athletic Bowl, Miami finished the year 9-4 and worthy of a top 25 ranking. Notable teams around Miami in the rankings:

  • West Virginia (18th) — yeah, riiiiiight. We blew them out but they’re above us. And miss me with “They won 10 games”. WVU didn’t play anybody of note/who’s good, and when they did (Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Miami), those teams beat them by a combined score of 124-62.
