Willis joins his Miami Hurricanes teammates Senior safety Jaquan Johnson and Junior linebacker Shaq Quarterman on the Watch List for the Bednarik Award. Johnson and Quarterman were named to the Bednarik preseason Watchlist.
Willis has been one of the most dominant defensive players in the country through the first half of the season. He’s second in the nation and first among players from Power Five Conference schools in tackles for loss with 12.5 and TFLs per game at 2.08.
Willis was honored by the Outland Trophy as the best interior lineman for the month of September.
