Speaking to the Miami Herald Thomas’ former teammate Braxton Berrios and Miami Hurricanes Offensive Coordinator Thomas Brown both said that former East St. Louis Flyer still has ways to go in that regard.
If Thomas needed a mentor and some inspiration Berrios is the perfect peer for him to look up to. Berrios waited his turn at Miami and led the Hurricanes in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns this season.
He was also the Valedictorian of his business school class. Berrios graduated with a 3.9-grade point average in entrepreneurship and finance.
In a column on January 25, Barry Jackson of the Herald wrote the faxed letter of intent that Miami received from Thomas in February of 2017 was the one that had Mark Richt the most excited.
