Miami Hurricanes CBs need to get up to up to speed in a hurry

The loss of cornerback Malek Young put a dent in the Miami Hurricanes level of depth at cornerback. Young was a key part of the success Miami had a corner last season and was scheduled for his Junior season in 2018.

Young suffered an injury to his spinal cord in the Miami Hurricanes loss to Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl. Young’s career essentially ended that night. He required surgery earlier this year to fuse the C1 and C2 vertebrae. Losing Young was a big blow to the depth at cornerback for Miami.

Dean is likely to start opposite Jackson at corner with Bandy playing the slot.
